Janus Worldwide Largest LSP in Russia According to 2019 Ratings
Janus Worldwide is the largest LSP in Russia according to the 2019 Rating compiled by the Translation Rating research agency. As part of the rating, Janus accumulated points based on profits in 2018. Janus Worldwide is number one with $23.6 million USD profit, which equals 1.4795 billion RUB. In Russian rubles, profits have increased by 21.7%, with 70% of it comprised of export earnings.
This is the third time Janus Worldwide has come first in the Russian LSP ratings. Steady growth in 2018 was made possible thanks to multilingual orders, successful implementation of a large-scale project that involved linguistic support to the main sporting event of 2018, FIFA World Cup Russia™, a growing portfolio of audiovisual translation services, and other initiatives.
The company continues to grow, both in size and quality: the number of Janus Worldwide employees has already surpassed 350, the company is continuing to open production offices and expand existing representative offices, and it is also continuing to improve its proprietary system, GTP, which provides clients more effective translation project management options. Continuous development pervades all aspects of Janus Worldwide’s business.
Speaking of the Russian market in general, the rating agency noted that it is currently growing. However, due to the devaluation of the Russian ruble compared to foreign currencies, the market size has reduced. Compared to the global market, it is growing slower, but maintains an overall positive dynamic. One of the key market trends is growing demand for medical translations and game localization, as well as the great potential of audiovisual translation, etc.
Janus Worldwide is once again happy to be recognized by the industry. We are not going to rest on our laurels. Instead, we will continue moving forward toward our strategic goals and implementing our most ambitious plans.
